The whole third floor, furnished and ready.

Two bedrooms, your own bathroom and a full kitchen on a quiet cul-de-sac block in Newark — five minutes from the airport, under twenty from Manhattan. We rented it by the night for years. Now we are offering it by the month.

What you get

The terms, up front

Most listings make you call to find this out. Here it is, so you can decide before you spend an evening on it.

What we will ask you for

Nothing unusual, and nothing before you have seen the place:

What it costs to move in

Fully furnished

$5,875

First month $2,350 + deposit $3,525. No application fee and no broker fee. Utilities are set up in your own name.

Unfurnished

$4,300

First month $2,150 + deposit $2,150. Same — no application fee, no broker fee.

On the rent itself, we are not going to haggle. $2,350 and $2,150 are what it is worth and what we will hold. If the timing is the problem rather than the number, say so — we have more room on move‑in dates and on the term than we do on price.

Two things worth saying plainly

It is a third-floor walk-up. There is no elevator. If stairs every day are a problem, this is not the right apartment and we would rather tell you now than after you have come to see it.

We live on the property. That is the real difference between this and a managed building. Something breaks, you knock or you call, and a person answers — the same day. No ticket, no portal, no waiting on a management company.

The neighbourhood, honestly

We wrote a full local guide for the people who stayed here by the night — how to get into Manhattan in under thirty minutes, which bus goes where and what it costs, where to eat without getting in the car, and the park down the road. It is the same neighbourhood either way, so it is worth a read before you decide.
